Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League developer Rocksteady has announced that the Epic Games Store release date of the game has been delayed from February 2 to March 5. Other platforms--Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and the Steam PC release--remain unaffected.
"The release for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on the Epic Games Store is now March 5, 2024," Rocksteady wrote in its Discord channel. Anyone who has preordered the game through the Epic Games Store will have their order canceled and will be directly refunded. There have been several delays for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League since it was first announced, with the most notable one being a nine-month setback beyond its planned release date of May 2023.
Development has been proceeding more smoothly since then, as a closed technical alpha test went live last month and Rocksteady announced plans to introduce a post-launch offline mode for the game. The studio has also cautioned fans to be wary of spoilers online, as major plot details have begun circulating.
"We're looking forward to players experiencing the story we've crafted in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League once the game launches in the new year," the studio said in response to the leaks. "We hope everyone can play the game and feel each moment of the narrative for themselves. It is very disappointing to see details being shared ahead of the game's release, so we can only urge you to try to avoid spoilers where you can."
